Hello! My name is Gabriel Rivas. I am a graduate student at the Rochester Institute of Technology in my final semester where I am finishing my Master of Science in Teaching - Visual Arts (All Grades). I graduated in 2016 from Champlain College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Filmmaking. After that I moved to Los Angeles where I worked on many TV shows, commercials, and web shorts as a post production assistant, assistant editor, graphics assistant, and editor. After five years of working in California I decided it was time to move home where I began a career in education. I worked as a paraprofessional and as a substitute teacher in the 2021-2022 school year and found that working with students was the most inspiring and fulfilling job I ever had.
